Wow... it is amazing. I can not wait too long! Soon will be a massive explosion!
As of my last update in October 2023, here are some of the hotly awaited upcoming RTS titles: Unfortunately, I don’t have the latest release schedules, but they were supposed to be teetering on the horizon.
Homeworld 3: Homeworld 3 is supposed to be an intuitive space strategy game loaded with excellent updated graphics and storylines. Let your play be the continuation of the never-ending saga of Hiigaran and its endeavour to stay alive in the vast multi-interstellar world.
Company of Heroes 3: It’s the forthcoming instalment of the esteemed WWII strategy series, with new campaigns, units, and mechanics for that enthralling dive into the historical battlefield. The game’s goal is to combine tactical gameplay with an epic narrative.
Age of Empires IV: Where AofE has already hit the stalls, enthusiasts wait in anticipation for brand new expansions or DLC to rope in more civilizations, campaigns, and maybe gameplay mechanics to further enrich the already-string strategy palette.
Stormgate: From some of the former brains behind Blizzard at Frost Giant Studios, Stormgate aspires to provide a next-generation, classic real-time strategy experience swathed in an addictive narrative and mind-blowing gameplay mechanics. A huge war between humans and aliens in a post-apocalyptic world sets the scene.
Dune: Spice Wars” is a new take on classic real-time strategy gameplay, merging venerable gameplay with deep resource management and strategic warfare in the sands of Arrakis, in the fabled Dune universe.
Tempest Rising: Takes players into the war-torn year of 1997 in an alternate future where the Cuban Missile Crisis did ignite the big guns. Two heavy campaigns, new factions, and rich, compulsive gameplay focusing almost entirely on strategy and abilities. It has total control over the battlefield, building bases, commanding armies in battle, and pulling off big strategies to win.
Classic RTS base-building with fast, fluid, hard-hitting combat, and loads of customization
Command two radically different factions, each featuring unique harvesting models, and resource systems and distinct rosters of units for drastically different playstyles
Two epic single-player campaigns interspersed with between-mission cutscenes for maximum story driver
Skirmish, custom games and ranked multiplayer matchmaking supported by the Glicko-2 rating system
We recently went hands-on with the game and had this much to say: “I have not been able to test out the campaign or even embark in the multiplayer, but through Skirmish mode I’ve been able to wrap my head around the various factions and its additive and simple gameplay. It’s nice playing an RTS that doesn’t really flood you with information yet doesn’t exactly hold your hand either. Also, Tempest Rising is just a pretty damn good-looking game with a killer soundtrack and I can’t wait for its full release. It is a good strategy that the Slipgate Ironworks have taken here – create an enjoyable RTS which is a homage to the great old days of the genre.”
Real-time strategy forms an integral part of the big genre of the real-time strategy games available, with developers striving to bring innovation together with nostalgia to entice new fans and excite the existing ones. Keep your antennae up on gaming news sites and official blogs for more info on these and other upcoming real-time strategy games!
